Was hoping someone could help with an RRAS issue that is driving me nuts!! I've recently installed a new Windows 2012 Server running RRAS which is configured as a VPN remote access server only.
The configuration is the same as our current Windows 2003 Server running RRAS. I am able to connect using PPTP within the internal network, but when I try to connect remotely, the connection fails with error 807.I'm running Windows 7 on the client but have
tried with Windows XP Sp3 as well.
Port 1723 is configured on the external firewall and I have verified that the server is listening on the port. I can actually see the server acknowledge the connection within RRAS on the interface when I view the TCP connections. It shows the state as "SYN Received" and the remote address matches what I'm seeing on the external firewall logs.
At this poing I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
