I am investigating MS NPS. Domain computers and domain users can be authenticated via 802.1x authentication, but I have some problem with guest access.
Because guest PC is non-domain computer, we cannot manage their PC configuration. Is there any way to drop them to a captive portal if they fail to authenticate with 802.1x, so that they can register with us their information (name, email, MAC address, arrival and departure date) and we can validate their information.
I am trying AuthFail-Vlan of 802.1x in order to put authentication failed PC to a registration VLAN, but I failed and the port is still remaining UNAUTHORIZED.
Do you have any hint for me? Thank you in advanced!
