Windows Server 2008 SSTP VPN certificate problems?

I am running Windows Server 2008 on a home machine on my network. Let's call this computerDC1. I have a client computer running Windows 7 Professional (Client1) that is bound to my home domain (DOMAIN). I have a hostname that resolves to my home IP address, and my router is forwarding 443 for SSTP to DC1.

I want to create a SSTP VPN connection between DC1 and Client1. RRAS is setup and ready to go, listening on port 443 for any connections. Client1 is ready to go with everything except the certificate to authenticate. I have searched the internet for any step-by-step guide to creating and requesting that necessary authentication certificate. Most guides mention a Server Authentication certificate template - one that I cannot find in DC1's template storage - and how to request a certificate over Web Enrollment. Neither of those paths have been successful so far.

Different guides tell me different places to store the certificates, how to make them and how to use them. I have seen where you can go into RRAS management and choose which certificate to use SSL binding for - I don't have those options either.

I've tried many Microsoft-provided guides to setting up SSTP - all end in an option, interface or choice that isn't present on my system. Any help in finding a useful step-by-step instruction guide would be most helpful - or even helpful details here. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
