Hello,
I have 2 Fast Ethernet NICs and 1 Gigabit NIC in my server. I have things like DHCP services, VPN, and remote desktop setup to use the 2 fast ethernet NICs. When clients are accessing my SMB shares I would like the server to use the gigabit port for transfers, to ensure the fastest speed of course. How can I setup and ensure that the server uses that NIC. For example, when setting up DHCP server as a role you can chose which network port it binds to. I would like to do the same with the file sharing services but chose gigabit.
All of the 3 ports in total go back to the same switch, which is gigabit, but of course only the gigabit port will run at that speed. Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
