Hello,
I have a few questions regarding a domain migration and DNS/DHCP migration.
Our current domain city.company.org uses BIND and linux based DHCP.
Our new domain corp.company.com will use Windows DHCP and dynamic DNS.
If I move my DHCP services from the Linux DHCP to the new Windows DHCP, will the clients (who are still joined to the old domain) get registered in DNS dynamically? I will be pointing DHCP option 6 to the new domain controller DNS, and option 15 will point to corp.company.com as it's domain name.
Will doing that cause any issue with the migration, which I plan on doing with ADMT?
If so, I should probably move DNS from BIND to the old DC along with DHCP, then migrate to the new domain right?
Thank you for your assistance.
