We need to resolve host names in our partner company network to access resources they provide for us. Private network connection exists between the companies. We have a single Active Directory-integrated DNS zone on Windows 2008 R2.
What are my options here?
1. I guess one option would be "Conditional forwarding" (which I have no experience) but right now we don't have access to their DNS.
2. Another option might be to create another two new forward zones (and reverse) for the partner domains (partnerdomain.com, partnerdomain2.com) as Primary Zones.
Right now we have created a corresponding record to our DNS Zone (partnerhost.ourdomain.com) with partner IP, but that is getting confusing as entries and usage seem to increase.
Any thoughts, tips or pitfalls?
