I can't access my server from clients

I have a windows server 2003 sp2 which acts as the main network server (DC, DHCP, DNS) it is configured as both a file server and a database server (oracle), it has been up and working for the last 6-8 years (updated regularly) suddenly it stopped appearing to clients (authenticated users) the shares can't be accessed  admin shares can't be accessed (d$, e$ ...) users can still access the database through the applications but not the files stored on the server ( even by using IP address of the server)  I still can access the server through remote desktop connection. I have not installed anything in the last few months ( other than the automatic update from Microsoft).

Please help.
