H. This is my first post so please bear with me. I am trying to add a FP PostBase Postage Meter to our network.
From my understanding it basically connects the same way a network printer would.I have assigned the meter the following:
IP10.200.3.30 (available on network)
mask 255.255.0.0 (verified to be correct)
gateway 10.200.1.1 (verified to be correct)
DNS 10.200.1.3 (there is an alternate DNS available but this one is verified and main)
Proxy disabled (we use no proxy server)
DHCP Disabled (Given static IP)
I am able to successfully ping the device. It also boots up and checks connection and seems to pass.Apparently there are a few devices that somehow don't show up in network place-other device. I have troubleshooted this a bit and think its being blocked
by ADMIN somewhere?? Wild guess. What am i missing here? Please Help. Running Server 08 R2
