Dears,
I am able to add static route for windows 208 R2, but not to Windows 2003 R2, please let me know why this is not possible with win 2003 r2
Windows 2008 R2 Server:
IP: 10.68.12.81
Mask: 255.255.255.0
GW: 10.68.12.1
Command:
route add 10.3.54.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.3.53.3 metric 2 /p
Result: Success
Windows 2003 R2 Server:
IP: 10.68.11.89
Mask: 255.255.255.0
GW: 10.68.11.65
Command:
route add 10.3.54.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.3.53.3 metric 2 /p
Result: Fail with Message:
The route addition failed: Either the interface index is wrong or the gateway does not lie on the same network as the interface. Check the IP Address Table for
the machine.
