I newly installed Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition SP2.. promoted to be the first DC in a new domain in a new forest.. installed DNS and WINS.. initially created two users.  Then, joined an XP Pro SP3 32 bit from another domain.. The problem is when logging on to the 2k3 server via the newly joined XP Pro using the account of the newly created domain users the message "the system cannot log you on now because the domain IT is not available" displays.. but when logging on using the Administrator it proceeds but slow.. When logged on using Administrator and RUN \\servername it prompts for username and password.. if Administrator and its password is inputted, "logon unsuccessful: the username you typed is the same as the user name you logged in with. That user name has already been tried. A domain controller cannot be found to verify that username." But if ordinary domain user and its password is inputted, it displays NETLOGON, SYSVOL folders and a shared folder but took so long in doing so.
