NPS and Windows 2008 R2 - Event ID 4402

I'm having what I believe to be the same issue as outlined the links mentioned below (which I had to remove but has the titleNPS and Windows Server 2008 R2 DC).  I upgraded a Win2003 DC running IAS to a Win2008R2 DC running NPS.  I ran the iasmigreader to export the database and was able to succesffuly import.  However, after all the configurations I'm receiving an NPS error Event ID 4402 "There is no domain controller available for domain test.org".  That is my old Netbios name and since it has a period in the name, Tiger Li wrote, "we now see NPS is treating the dotted NetBIOS name as a FQDN and it results in NPS doing a DNS lookup on the netbios name".  Tiger also mentions 3 solutions, all regarding renaming or migrating the domain, which I'm not quite ready to do.  Lastly, Tiger mentions testing it by "creating a DNS zone and corresponding records for the netbios name on DNS server".

What records are needed to properly test NPS?  I have a test.org zone already but it's pretty empty and doesn't have any domain controllers.  All the DCs are under test.net

Thanks,

Jeff
