DNS Forwarding Does Not Work

I switched Internet providers and my DNS forwarding is not working. Something is obviously configured incorrectly but I'm not sure what.

When I set a client's DNS server entry to my local AD DNS server (2008 R2) it resolves all internal addresses but nothing external. If I point my client to an external DNS server it can resolve everything externally but not internally. This is also true when logged onto the DNS server itself. For some reason, the forwarding is not working.

The routing is correct because the Internet works when I use the Internet provider's DNS server. And my DNS and internal routing are correct because I can nslookup and ping all my local servers when I point the client to my AD DNS. The forwarder list says it can't resolve the forwarders when the server is pointed at itself for DNS. But when I point the server to the external DNS it immediately resolves all the forwarders.

Any ideas?
