I am using Windows 2003 R2 based RRAS PPTP VPN for my remote access clients. We now have a new requirement to update DNS with the client IP, and we have configured our environment per this:
The remaining issue is how to update client IPs into DNS when using VPN. I realize that the RRAS server caches IPs and assigns them out on behalf of the DHCP server, so is it possible at all to have the VPN client IP added to DNS, unless we change our DNS zone config from secure and allow unsecure updates and then have the VPN client update themselves?
