Hi,
I have a 2008r2 sp1 standalone server, I'm trying to connect from lan domain pc (win7 sp1) as administrator user, and I can, but if I choose a startup program (I also tried notepad), I can't, and also tried a bit of things:
- at first, it connected, but always showed me the desktop, not the startup application I chose. Note, the same user can connect remotely (at full desktop) and then launch the same program.
- then I found a hint about a registry value "HonorLegacySettings": if I set this to 1, I can
> set a "mandatory" startup program on server, and any remote desktop executes that program, not the full desktop, and as soon that startup program is closed, the connection is closed
> set a startup program on client pc (eg notepad) and when I try, it seems to prepare the connection but suddenly disconnects: no errors, no messages.
Note, noone else connected neither locally nor remotely while trying this. No events related too, it seems.
I also found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969851/en-us but I am not sure if it is fixing my issue, and I don't know what is doing that fix. And I am not so sure about trying such a blind fix...
What can it be, how to fix?
