Hi,
We are redesigning the way we work here and is in the transition going from the old solution to the new one.
The setup is like this.
We have a scope full of old machines (10.2.1.x-10.2.2.x) (255.255.0.0)
we will have a new scope for new different branded machines 10.2.3.x-10.2.4.x (255.255.0.0)
I do not want the new machines to get IP addresses on the old range (firewall thing) nor do I want the old machines to get IPs on the new range. atm they are all located on the same vlan. So was hoping there is a way to setup some kind of filtering without to make sure the old machines (have mac addresses) go to the old scope and the new goes to the new scope. This without A)changing the vlan and B) without typing all the mac addresses into the reservation on the scope.
as far as I can see its not posible from the windows server dhcp to make those kind of filtering. looks like if i make an allow/deny filtering list im making it posible/impolible to get IPs from the server it self and not on a scope level.
Any surgestions is very welcomed
Best regards
