Hi All,
I'm running windows server 2003 SP2 and all was fine until about a week ago when some of my users suddenly couldn't connect via VPN. When connecting, users could never get past the authentication let alone to get registering the computer on the network.
I tried everything I could think of:-
rebooting router
checking vpn port forwarding settings on router
checking internet connection at router
checking internet connection on the server internet nic
..nothing stood out as being different.
So I ended up trying to stop and start the solution however I actually removed the service all together.. which has had many knockon effects such which I also need to sort out.
What I've got now is zero communication with my router.. even though it states connected, the light is green on the nic there is simply no communication...
Does anyone have any idea how I can sort this out?
My suspicion is that there's a DHCP relay issue now as I've got two nic's (internet side and network side) but can anyone help?
I know I've got two issues here but any help would be really appreciated!
I had two hours of no internet at the business today and we all flipped out... it was all my fault so i felt pretty bad :-(
