Can I have standalone Secondary DNS server (Not a Domain member) to talk to a Windows AD DNS server?

Hello

We like to build an Standalone (Not Domain Member) secondary DNS server at one of our remote branches.

Due to security issues we do not want the secondary DNS server to be part of the domain, but we want DNS resolution for the local Domain member laptops.

I.e the Secondary Standalone domain server synchronise with an Windows AD DNS (mycompany.local)

Is this possible?
