Hi
Our network consists of 10+ Windows 7 workstations and about same number of virtual instances hosted on Xen Server(mix of Windows Server 2008/2012 and CentOS). All physical PCs and VMs belong to domain and have static IPs. Windows Server 2012 hosted
on same Xen Server acts as Domain Controller and DNS server.
At random times local DNS resolution (i.e. somehost.mydomain.local) simply stops working. But even when ping, http, ssh etc. no longer works, I can still successfully query hostname using nslookup. And also everything is still accessible by IP addresses.
Only restarting network interface or DNS Client service puts DNS resolution back in place. No traces of this issue in DNS Server logs or DNS client logs.
Thanks in advance,
Your help or suggestions are much appreciated
