We have DNS Server with AD integrated on win 2008 R2. In our organisation there are some non windows client like MAC, Linux etc. I want to register their auto DNS enties to Win DNS server when they receive IP from WIN DHCP server.
1. How can i configure a DHCP server to register a DNS entry when it allocates IP to NON WINDOWS client ?
2. How "Configure Name Protection " feature in Win 2008 R2 DHCP server help me here ?
I have gone through the articles on microsoft WIKI/Library. But got confused.
Could any one help me here with simple explanation ?
