Hi everyone,
there are simmilar questions out there but I just want to configr since thy don't exactly match my IP ranges.
In my company we recently started to get very near to the end of our DHCP client available adress count.
So far we have been more than sattisfied with IP adress range from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254.
As it always get with time, we have grown considerably and now we must expand our DHCP client number.
First I would like to double the count of available internal IP adresses that will be used in our company.
Here I would like some input on how to achieve this and I will describe the process that I had in mind and please correct me if I got any part of it wrong.
Currently I have a DHCP scope with range 192.168.0.1 - 192.68.0.254 (with subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
My plan was to delete the original scope and create a new one with IP range 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.1.254 (with subnet mask 255.255.254.0) which should in turn give me 508 available IP adresses for internal use.
Does this looks like a good way to achieve my goal or does anyone have a better solution?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Mario
