i recently configured the RRAS role and a PPTP-VPN service on a Windows Server 2012. I verified that after setting up RRAS, the port 21 is blocked. I thought it was a firewall issue, so i enabled the needed entries on Windows Firewall, but it still failed. I tried to disable Windows Firewall just for testing and the port 21 is still blocked. I realized that RRAS was blocking the port when i temporarily disabled the RRAS service. Then it just unblocked the port. I would like to know how to bypass this port on RRAS: i configured a filter for port 21 on the ipv4 section of RRAS but it didn't worked for me.I'm working with 2 NICs, one with local IP and the other with public IP. Telnet to port 21 on the local IP works fine, but is failing with the public IP. This server is not on a domain, just on workgroup.
