I haveconfigured awin2003 servertoconnect fromhome to work(server is in a workgroup not domain).In therouterI have nat to ip of server and tcpport1723andUDP47.We connect without problems withourusername and passwordand ifyou typetheserver ipcansee andaccess theirresources(\\192.168.1.2),but resources can notbe accessed bythe server name(\\server). But the worstis that accessto any document,especiallyofficetakes a long, althought size is 80kbs.Our connectionto theserveris100/10Mbpsfibersothat theline speedis not.Fromwin xpandwin7clientsmakethe connectionhaving createda newVPN connection that comes withthe system.
I dont know what is wrong, exceptif I go tothe optionofremote access and routingandshows methe following:
IC(Incoming Connections) is currentlyenabledserver.To configureRRASdisableICand try again.
