We have some Windows 2003/R2 non domain servers that have remote desktop enabled.
I'm looking to change the RDP-Tcp security settings to use SSL. We currently run a windows 2003 domain with domain controllers running Windows 2003R2 Standard, one of the domain controllers is acting as a CA.
I've tried requesting a certificate using the http://domaincontroller/certsrv route but I don't see computer listed as a template option. I've tried using the 'Certificate Template to Issue' option within CA on the DC but computer is not listed as an option, although it is listed within the Certificate Templates. I've also tried duplicating the certificate but I think this changes it to a newer template version and the 'Windows 2003 R2 Standard' won't 'Issue' it.
Does anyone know of an idiots guide to take me through 'a' process that will allow me to set the RDP-TCP to SSL of this non domain server.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Pete.
