Hi.
The status of the connection created by DirectAccess keeps "Connecting" while the client computer is connected with internet.

- Only DA without VPN deployed.
- DA is deployed fully for client access and remote management.
- Using local name resolution is allowed.
- Windows 7 client computers support is disabled.
- DNS is set to the same internal IP of the DirectAccess server.
- Use local name resolution if the name does not exist in DNS or DNS servers are unreachable when the client name is on a private network.
- Client is visible in Connected Clients and a record is listed in Access Details: Protocol 6, Port 88, IP is belong to one of our Domain Controller.
Client:
- Windows 8.1 Enterprise with all updates
- Domain Joined.
- Local user is logged on.

- By running DirectAccess Client Troubleshooting Tool, only 2 are marked as failed. Failed to connect the domain sysvol share \\domainname.com\sysvol\domainname\Policies. Failed to connect to HTTP probe at http://directaccess-WebProbeHost.domainname.com
- Ping tests to domainname.com and directaccess-webprobehost.domainname.com are succeeded with IPv6 addresses displayed.
- Ping tests to some other domain-joined computers are succeeded with IPv6 addresses displayed.
- Ping test to a non-existed domain name within the same domain is failed as it should be.
- Ping test to the dns ipv6 address listed by "netsh namespace show effective" is succeeded.
- nslookup test by providing the dns address is failed.
- IE cannot display any web sites within the domain.
- When this computer is connect directly to the local network, everything works well.
Any idea?
Thanks.
