At our branch office we are having trouble in joining domain. PCs are not able to join domain.
At Branch office we have RODC with DNS server role. Clients can not contact RWDC directly , there Primary DNS server is another server at Branch office which has just DNS server role and work as Conditional Forwarders. For all domain related queries it is forwarding to RODC DNS and for other queries it is directing to ISP.
There is no port restriction from RODC to RWDC. However, clients can not communicate with RWDC
1) When clients are joining domain they must contact RID master in the absense of this will RODC forward this query to RWDC ?
2) Do RODC work as a proxy in joining domain
3) When we join domian the DC locator function will query DNS to find out the server in the same subnet , the DC in the same subnet is RWDC .
4) Do Conditional forwarders DNS join PC
