My domain controller/DNS was shutdown unexpectedly and once it was back on i have issue loading websites. pings with hostnames replying for example 3 times then timing out few times and replying again. ping with IP is just fine. when you do nslookup to any website, it resolves once then when you run again it times out, then after few tries it resolves again. I tried everything I knew as follow but still no luck:
Cleared DNS Cache:
ipconfig /flushdns
net stop dnscache
netstart dnscache
----------------
restarted DNS service
reloaded DNS zone
cleared client computer's dns cache
i just don't know why dns keeps dropping lookups. there are no errors in event logs. Can anyone please tell me what might be the issue.
