Hi,
I have two 2012 R2 servers running DHCP service, failover is configured in hot standby mode.
When I take the active server offline by removing its network connection, it takes 1 minute 5 seconds for the partner server to transition into the 'communication interrupted' state.
Does anyone know what the process is by which the standby server is determining whether the active server is available?
Secondly, are there any configuration changes that can be made so that the 'communication interrupted' state is entered more quickly?
