Our IP ranges are getting full and we need to take use of DHCP ranges for our servers. The problem with this solution appear when the DHCP server goes offline and the servers then reboot; the come up with 169.* addresses, whilst the static IP servers still work okay.
Before starting to cluster our DHCP solution, I wonder if there is a registry setting that makes servers still use the old IP if it cannot reach the DHCP server?
