Multiple Load Balanced RRAS and Assigning DHCP

Hi all,

I have inherited a load balanced RRAS setup providing VPN access. The setup is round robin load balancing pointing to four RRAS's all of which have a DHCP relay setup to lease IP's from the same network range.

The problem is this that clients are getting multiple IP's and the reason I believe this is happening is because the RRAS servers do not know which IP's the other RRAS servers have given to which clients. Therefore if a client, perhaps on a low strength mobile data signal, connects and disconnects multiple time is quick succession, it can quite easily hit all four RRAS's and get an IP from each, creating DNS records for each which will not be released from DNS until they're scavenged.

Now I know the scavenging on the respective zone is not aggressive enough and that this is easily improved, however I would like to know if RRAS can be configured so that the above situation does not occur and VPN clients already with a valid IP configured on one of the RRAS's keep that same IP, even if they connect to a different RRAS?

Cheers,

Matt
