WIndows 7 netwroking services startup

I've been told to post this from Windows into this forum to see if I can get any advice here, apologies if this is in the wrong category.

When booting Windows 7 (seemed to get the same issue on XP to) on a domain it appears to take a while after the login splash screen for the network services to be fully available, this appears to prevent the login script from mapping the network drives, our normal advise to our users when this happens is to allow 30 seconds or so before logging in or if they login and the network drives aren't mapped then to log out and back in, obviously this isn't a major issue but I'm wondering if there is a simple fix I can apply to get around this problem.

I'm thinking along the lines of either increasing the priority of the networking services being started or delaying the login screen until the network services are started.

Any assistance welcome
