I am a fairly new sysadmin and have been tasked to deploy windows NPS 802.1x authentication within my company. The authentication method will be
EAP-TLS using device certificates, The NPS roll cannot be installed on our DC's. These servers will be supporting about 12K devices that are primarily on Mon-Fri 6a-6p, and re-authentication is every 10 min. I have been unable to locate any type
of formula or a baseline of X number of servers per X number of clients, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If additional information is required for a solution please ask and I will see what I can provide.
