Private and external netwok with dhcp server

Good evening I am novice in network management. I know that it’s not recommended to use server as router but I have my reasons.

I want setup a private network (without domain and without DNS I would keep things simple as possible) and I want use my server as DHCP server internally and to forward internet connection from the external network to the internal network. My server has two network cards and windows server 2008 SE as Operating System so what I want is

1. What’s the IP configuration should I do in both side of my server (IP, Mask, gateways, dns..)

2. Should I use the root command to forward packet from the internal network to the external gateways?And How?

3. Should I open port in my server to forward Internet packet?
