Hello,
On some of our servers when we do an nslookup we see the following timeout failures. This is not happening on all of our servers so I don't think the issue lies on the DNS server. Some servers nslookup is successful every time but others it times out every couple of lookups. These are all w2012 servers.
Server: name of dns server
Address: address of dns server
DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds
I have confirmed that the servers and all DNS servers have address and ptr records. We have IPV6 disabled on both the servers and DNS servers. Any help would be appreciated.
