I am facing Local Network and internet disconnecting problem in my work and always restarting router, server and computers in order to resolve the problem.

Three days ago, I started a major troubleshooting by eliminating all the peripheral devices connected to the Network. I kept only one Desktop and the Server both connected to the ISP router.

Our Network infrastructure, consisting of HP Server + 10 Dell dektop computer + Cisco Switch 24 + Thomson ISP router with wireless NIC enabled.

Server has one DC and also DHCP on the server is active.

Server OS is windows 2003 SP2 with latest updates

ISP Router DHCP is disabled.

All Windows firewall off ,on Server and workstations as well, only for troubleshooting purpose.

After 2 days trial and error I found that the server is affecting in dropping packets and connection interruption (with request time out) with the ISP router and the Server . I found it after running 2 ping sessions, from my desktop computer, one for the ISP router and one for the Server.

Action was taken by keeping monitoring both ping sessions and shutdown the server.

I was surprised, when both pings back to normal, with no Packets delay or Network interruption.

I didn’t find any System or Network log error in the server.

I am very confused and really need your help, in order to solve the problem .

NB: Changing the ISP router also didn't solve the problem.
