Hello!
Recently we are getting such DNS service error on different AD DNS servers in different places, in different times:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DNS
Event ID: 7502
Description:
The DNS server was unable to service a client request due a shortage of available memory. Close any applications not in use or reboot the computer to free memory.
At this moment DNS service stops responding to all requests.
Amount of memory, consumed by DNS.exe grows up to more than 1GB.
After service restart everything seems all right, and even after 24 hours memory amount keeps normal (about 75 Mb).
So, I can see no logic in occurrence of described problem.
No updates have been applied to DCs (DNS servers are installed on them) in last 2 or 3 months, so it is unlikely an update problem.
I found several links to KB946565, but the MS07-062 bulletin was superseded twice, and there are no fixes or KB articles about memory leaks for MS09-008 (KB961063).
Have you ever faced similar problems?
