I'm trying to create a NAT router using RRAS (effectively a Windows version of Smoothwall/ClearOS). I've got two nics, one which connects to the internal network and one that connects to the DSL modem. When I create the dial on demand PPPOE connection it can never connect,, it always comes up as unreachable.
As a test, I went into the Network & Sharing centre and created a new PPPOE connection there (like you would on Windows 7/8) and attempted to connect and it connects fine. I've compared to the connection properties of what was made in RRAS and Network & Sharing Centre and they're identical. I'm a little lost as to why the RRAS connection keeps failing.
