Hi all, I'm doing a DNS configuration and I have a measure.
I have a DNS zone that is transferred from a Linux server to my Windows Server 2008 R2.
The server is configured this DNS server, a few days ago linux DNS server had a problem and did not transfer the zone for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, my DNS server and not solve the zone that was transferred.
My question is whether to get a second DNS server on my servers and this problem happens again, I would ask the second DNS server? must take into account that my DNS server would respond, but indicating that the record is not.
Not what would be the behavior in this case, I believe that if the first DNS server responds, the Windows Server system and not question the second DNS system, just ask the second system if the first does not respond.
What would the behavior?
Could we set up for the same zone, a second master?
