I have inherited a Server 2003 RRAS server that is giving me problems (Yes I know a 2003 server lol)
Anyway after a few issues at site with power and losing the DHCP server I've been told the RRAS server does not work. On closer inspection it seems that it is only allowing 1 user to connect on the VPN. I can see the one user connected and when I try to connect I get an error 807 - connection between PC and server interrupted. This can be caused by a problem in the VPN transmission and is commonly a result of latency or simply your VPN server has reached capacity.
We are using PPTP and the maximum connections are 32 and I can see all the ports in the RRAS console and the DHCP scope is now distributed from the RRAS server itself rather than DHCP server with 50 available addresses.
Really stumped so if anyone can help, please do!
Also no I can't upgrade as the whole infrastructure is physical servers that are all over 8 years old and the future plan is to virtualize out of this server room to the parent company data centre.
