Run office machines (Diskless) from Network (Boot PXE)

Current Setup: I have around 20 machines running in high speed LAN. They are running Windows Professional 7, 8 and 10. Every person is working on a single machine and saves his work locally which is usually web development projects in WAMP (PHP, Mysql) etc.

Problem:  If one machine goes down, for example HDD issue or some other hardware issue, then we have to provide a new machine and start transferring files from one machine to another (From various different folders). I was wondering if we can simply remove HDD from these machines and Boot them from LAN image which is stored at some central LAN Server. This way they all work with different CPU, RAM etc but they keep all data at central place which can be regularly backed up. They can easily switch from one machine to another (All they have to do is restart machine and upon boot loader, select their image/machine).

Is it possible?
