I have kind of a strange setup that I need help with. I am setting up a lab network with Domain controller, AD, DHCP and DNS on one server. I have many other computers that need internet access and I am connecting them with the domain server. I will also be setting up and exchange server. I also want to be able to access the lab computers from outside over the internet. I am thinking of setting up a second WIndows 2008 R2 system with 2 NIC's, one connected to the internet IP through a cable modem, the other one connected to the private network of my domain. I've tried setting up RAS on the server to do NAT but cannot seem to get access set up correctly. I am thinking of having the outside access be RDP to the router computer, which I plan to lock down and allow only RDP to the test computers on my network internally (I actually saw this used at a VMware class).
Any help with setting this up is appreciated.
