A topic covered many times in the past with all different arguments/reasoning's
What is the 'correct' way to set the primary and secondary DNS on a server running the DNS service
Our current setup, we have 4 DCs and 2 RODCs all on 2012 R2
Our DNS in AD integrated which is installed and running on 2 writable DCS & the two RODCs
Same site bar 1 RODC which is a separate site.
Following the BPA and other articles our setup has always been primary DNS address 'the another writable' DNS server & secondary DNS loopback address.
Is our configuration correct? Recent articles i have seen people suggest to not use the loopback address and use its own static IP address. Is this correct? Or have recommendations changed?
Many Thanks
