We have set up a new windows 2012 VPN / Direct Access server. All is working well but when users connect to the vpn, they don't seem to be able to access resources without using the full DNS suffix
So for example, if they try to ping Server1 they get no reply but if they use Server1.domain.local there is no problems.
What is causing this and is there a cure?
As most users will only use the name.
