When attempting to configure conditional forwarders between two .local domains in two different physical offices, its working fine one way, but the other way it throws the following error:
"The server with this IP address is not authoritative for the required zone."
Domain ABC.local (10.2.12.3): Windows Server 2008 R2. Conditional forwarder to XYZ.local (192.168.10.1) goes through no problems.
Domain XYZ.local (192.168.10.1): Windows Server 2012 Standard. Conditional forwarder to ABC.local (10.2.12.3) gives the error.
The domain and the forest functional level are set to Server 2008 R2.
Any ideas?
