Hi all,

Having DNS server (DNS_1): 103.20.76.2 , is DC: local.com

Having other DNS server (DNS_2): 103.20.76.3, is DC: test.com

Having 1 Win7 non-domain client.

COnfiguration:

In DNS_1, create A record for DNS_2

In Win7 client, primary DNS points to DNS_1

Steps:

Join domain "test.com" for Win7 client, but having a warning: "cannot find domain test.com"

But from Win7, DNS_1, I can ping to DNS_2. To be sure, I also add host DNS_2 in WIn7

Work arround:

In DNS_1 of Win7 client, choose Advance > type domain "test.com", but cannot join to.

-------------

Thus, I change the primary DNS of Win7 client to 103.20.76.3, I can join domain

So, I wonder why I cannot join domain "test.com" for Win7 client in case primary DNS is "DNS_1"?

If I want to use DNS_1 is primary DNS of Win7, so in DNS_1, what configuration will I confgure ?

Thanks,
