Netdom Join does not work. Error message: Logon failure: unknow username or bad password

Hi,

I simply tried to use Netdom Join to make remote windows 2008 r2 core join domain, but failed.

the command I used is : netdom join servername /d:domain /ud:userid /pd:*

I am domain admin. on remote windows 2008 r2 core I turned off fireworks.

if I log on remote server and use the same command, it will work.

if I remotely run command, it gave me this error.

anyone has ideas?
