DHCP virtual service with Dynamic DNS

Configuration, 4 node server 2008 r2 cluster, 1 virtual DHCP service that can fail over to any node. Scopes and settings configured and working. DHCP configured to discard A and PTR records when a lease is deleted and Dynamically update DNS A and PTR records for DHCP clients that do not request updates. Basically my DHCP server should be doing all DNS updates if I am understanding things correctly. DNS is configured to use a service account so all DNS A records should be owned by this account.

Situation, a percentage (apx 20%) of the DNS A records are owned by the host that the DHCP virtual service is residing on.

Example, DHCPVS residing on host02 up and running. Apx 80% of the DNS record are owned by the service account but the other 20% are owned by host02. There is only one dhcp server authorized in AD it is dhcpvs.

Any idea why this would be happening and how to prevent it?

I am having issues with DNS records not updating some are owned by the correct account. Any suggested reading or suggestions?
