Active Directory Infrastructure Planning

Hello,

I'm currently evaluating different Active Directory implementation scenarios for studying purposes and I'd like to start this discussion in the hope that it will be helpful to understand best Active Directory Environment structure to choose. See example below.

There is a Companies Group managing Company ACompany B and Company C., each one covers different industry category.

Companies Group has a centralized IT serving each company to reduce costs. This mean, for example, having one Exchange Infrastructure, one SharePoint Infrastructure, etc.

Each company has its own public domain: companyA.com, companyB.comcompanyC.comand companiesGroup.com too.

How could AD Infrastructure be designed ?

E.g.

One AD Forest companiesGroup.local, different domain treescompanyA.local, companyB.local and companyC.local and domain sharing same Forest namespaceservices.companiesGroup.local for services...?

Thank you,
Luca Fabbri
