I am in the middle of testing out DirectAccess and so far I can get my client to work as needed. I can access everything that I have enabled on the DA server that is in my internal lan.
Now I am trying to access my DA client from my DA server. So far I can ping and I can RDP into it. The next step is that I need to access the administrative shares. The IP address I am using to ping and RDP is the temporary IPv6 address that shows in the client under IPHTTPS connection (as all my clients will be using that and that is how the client is connecting to the server) which is the same one that shows up on the DA server when I view detailed client statistics.
When i try to use \\<temporary ipv6 address>\c$ the sever cannot connect. It says that the network path is not found. I have used group policy to enable file and printer sharing firewall rules for all network profiles and all adapters and I also enabled "allow edge traversal" for all the rules. I am not sure what else I can do. Anyone else have any ideas?
