How to safely test lease / PXE from a new DHCP server before putting it into service into a production subnet ?

Hi, We are transitioning from a Branch distributed DHCP servers into a centralized mode.  How can I safely test the Centralized DHCP server for the Branch subnet before switching from the existing to the new DHCP server ?  Much appreciate any suggestions.  Thanks  Dev
