I have reserved an IP address for a device that supports Dynamic DNS but it comes with a default (unmeaningful) name. This device does not support option 12 (hostname), therefore I cannot name the device via DHCP.
Once I place the device on the network I do NOT want to later name the device via its console or web administration page.
Can I force the DHCP server to register the name either from the "Reservation name:" field or from option 12 (hostname)?

(I forgot to mention the DHCP server is Windows Server 2003 with all the latest SPs and the DNS is AD intergrated)
